plamdi.com is an Australian site http://plamdi.com/

  welcome to
  plamdi.com

Welcome to my website. My name is Daniel and I live in Canberra, Australia. I hope you will find this site useful. If you're a Christian and you're looking for information about various areas of the faith you've come to the right place. If you aren't a Christian and wish to explore some of what I believe please do so. I also have various hacks (not cracks) to achieve optimal performance on windows based PCs.

The Movies section is now up... starting with two pages; Awwe! More on the way (at least one more tonight!)

This site is designed to have my own arguments on issues that are important to Christians and deal with the Faith or Society. So I mostly write essay-style pages. This is to present the information in the best possible way. If you would like to print off any of my pages you are more than welcome to, I have made RTF versions of some pages which will automatically print if you're using internet explorer. If you use another browser you can still print the RTF version by clicking on the "printable version" link on each page.

The printable RTF pages use coloured headings only, and the images are either black and white (greyscale) or have been altered to use less colour/ink. The reason I use RTF is because it's a free format that does not require commercial software to view. But then again most free software doesn't want to display the binary images, oh what can you do? They print, that's the main thing.

Netscape/Mozilla users, you will be pleased to know that while I personally prefer IE I always test my pages is Mozilla to ensure correct compatibility. IE has some CSS functions that use Active-X which will make it display *some* things just that little bit better, and it supports scrolling elements, so that the title-bar sits snugly on top where it belongs. Making that effect in Mozilla was very difficult, and in the end the only way to do it is with scripting. So I have made it work, and in doing so I eradicated a bug that gave a horizontal scrollbar. I am very professional in my web-design, unlike some of these lazy commercial pages you see these days. All the RTFs were also made using notepad (and the copy command in a command shell to insert binary data), and should conform 100% to the RTF standards. The document I consult when writing RTF format files is:
Rich Text Format (RTF) Version 1.5 Specification

eBay, IGN, MSN (Hotmail) - and plenty of other sites are written to be dependant on Scripting, and this is very unprofessional. So when writing your sites friends, please remember to make your site work 100% without the use of scripting. Scripting should be an enhancement only. Most of my snazzy effects are achieved using CSS, which is far more powerful than most people realize. Take a look at the links below, nothing but pure script-free CSS going on there...
